This notice explains how BM Safeguarding Limited collects and uses personal information through this website. It is designed to meet the information requirements of UK data-protection law.
The information we collect
When you make an enquiry, I will collect the name, email address, service area and message you provide. I also process limited technical and security information needed to operate, secure and diagnose the website.
How and why we use your information
I use enquiry information to respond to you, assess whether I may be able to support your organisation, communicate about potential services and keep appropriate records of those communications. My lawful bases are my legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and managing our services, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. I may also use information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Sensitive information and safeguarding matters
Please do not send case files, special-category personal data, criminal-offence information or details that identify children or adults at risk through this website form. If I am commissioned to provide safeguarding services, the handling of any information needed for that work will be agreed separately in the relevant engagement documents.
Who we share information with
I use trusted service providers to host and operate this website and to receive website enquiries. They may process personal information only on our instructions and subject to appropriate contractual safeguards. I may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with legal proceedings.
International transfers
Some service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, I will use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards required by UK data-protection law.
How long we keep information
I keep enquiry information for no longer than necessary to respond to the enquiry, manage any resulting relationship and meet legal, accounting or record-keeping requirements. I review retention periods regularly and securely delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have rights to request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and data portability.
